A report from the Times Daily says that at least 11 people died on Alabama’s roads this weekend. One of the tragic motor vehicle accidents occurred last night at 9:30 p.m., killing five people in a head-on crash.
Alabama State Troopers report that the accident last night in Hale County involved two cars colliding head-on at the intersection of Alabama 61 and County Road 10. The five victims were reportedly all in one vehicle.
Three other accidents in southwest Alabama killed four people earlier Sunday. Other traffic fatalities were reported in Jefferson and Elmore counties over the weekend.
These fatal accidents serve as sobering reminders to buckle up, drive defensively, and NEVER drink and drive.
